I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

This October, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

This is my 4th campaign and 3rd as an Ambassador for the campaign. Each year I see the progression of raising awareness, creating conversations and how one persons actions can lead to connecting a community.

I’ve been honoured as the Warrnambool 2025 Citizen of the Year, Wannon 2025 Outstanding Volunteer recipient, as well as guest speaker at Secondary and Primary schools, as well as industry workplaces.

You never think that your actions and motivations could lead to so much communal impact, but that’s the reason I signed up and wanted to turn the pain of loss  of a friend(s) to suicide into a purpose.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk (run, wheel or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations.

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Thank you so much.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

My Updates

Half way through the month

Thursday 15th Oct
So we’ve hit the halfway point of the month and it’s been really pleasing to see the impact yet again.
I’ve still had the regular people chatting to me, but,  I’ve also noticed a fair few people have come on board over the last 12 months. Our conversations have been combinations of being reflective and supportive of us all being in this together.
I copped some Influenza A this week, so my K’s are on hold but I’m about halfway to my 100km goal. I know I’ll get there.
You still never really know the impact you are having but you do sit back and feel proud of our community and the little contributions or many people to a cause so important to our wider community.
My aim was to create a collective  community effort and promote self empowerment to  chat or include topics of mental health and suicide awareness into their day, and I’ve seen that occur.
Everyone has capacity to create change

Bring on the 2026 Campaign

Sunday 27th Sep
Hi,
If you are reading this, thanks for dropping by.
I was asked to be the Ambassador for the third year running and said yes. This is my 4th campaign and i am really looking forward to it.
It's hard to say you look forward to it, as the motivating reason is the loss of a friend(s) to Suicide and Mental Health battles.
I look forward to further enhancing peer connections, conversations and moments where we, as a collective, can spread the message around Suicide Prevention and how to check in on a friend.
I am still learning and through my exposure to putting myself out there in these campaigns, I have had conversations I never thought I would ever have.
Aa a Dad, I am talking to fellow Dads and parents about navigating  the road ahead as our kids become teenagers. When we were Teenagers, we didnt have the access to information around Mental health, let alone how to check in on a friend.
I look forward to the two way educational side, where we get to be open and acknowledge that, we are part of a community. We get to learn how to check in someone. We get to be heard, seen and appreciated as an important person of the community.
Again, thanks for stopping by and you motivate me to get out there. It's not always easy, as the paths I walk or ride, or the waves I surf, they are paths and waves I've shared who are no longer with us.
Its OK to stop and be vulnerable and know that together, we are making a diffrence.
