I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

This July,Β I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking k's as I run/jogΒ  leading up to the Yeppoon Running Festival on July 28th. Where I have challenged myself to the half marathon (21kms)Β

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Thank you so much.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask β€œAre you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide. πŸ’›

My Updates

50kms Complete!! πŸ‘

Monday 29th Jul
On Sunday I reached my 50kms goal by running in my first half marathon. It was physically and mentally challenging and I did it!! πŸ™Œ I will be spending the afternoon on the couch resting my sore little legs. Thanks for all the donations, support and love over the month as I have fundraised for RUOK. πŸ’›πŸ–€

Winter Motivation πŸ₯ΆπŸ’›

Thursday 25th Jul
So glad my beanie arrived in time for the two weeks of real winter we get in Central Queensland. πŸ₯Ά During winter is the time of the year that I struggle with motivation, getting my weekly exercise in whether that is running, gym or getting out and going for a walk. I will convince myself It's too cold, too dark, I'm too tired or I just want to stay in bed and not get up to go. The K's for RUOk? has been a great motivator to get me out and moving my body during winter. Exercise and positive mental health go hand in hand and it's something that I have to remind myself each winter ✨

Half way there!! 30 down 20 to go! πŸ’›

Monday 15th Jul
Half way through July and I have clocked up 30km and raised $777!! πŸ™Œ Week 2 challenge was to spot something yellow, my favourite was the beautiful yellow on the horizon, which flows perfectly into week 3's challenge new horizons finding somewhere new to clock up my K's. ✨ Thanks everyone for your donations. I have two weeks until the Yeppoon running festival and take on the half marathon.

Connection ✨

Monday 8th Jul
This week's challenge was connection.Β
Β IΒ  decided to wear my RUOk shirt to Parkrun.Β
A man in his 70'sΒ  noticed me jogged up to me and asked me what my shirt was all about.Β  We chatted the whole wayΒ  and finishedΒ  the rest of the 5kms together, him hitting his first Parkrun PB.
Β I think I'll wear it again next Saturday πŸ’›πŸ₯°
