I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

This October, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk (run, wheel or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations.

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Thank you so much.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

R U OK What it's mean 2 me

Thursday 2nd Oct
R U OK? Day isn’t just another awareness day for me – it’s a reminder of how important it is to check in with the people around us, because I know what it feels like when life gets heavy and you’re not sure who to talk to.

I’ve had times where I’ve been carrying a lot inside. On the outside, you keep moving, keep working, keep showing up – but underneath, it can feel like you’re barely holding it together. Sometimes, all it would have taken was for someone to notice and ask, “Hey, are you really OK?”

That simple question can mean the world. Not because the other person has all the answers or knows how to fix things, but because it shows you’re not invisible, and you don’t have to carry everything alone.

For me, R U OK? Day is about:

Remembering how powerful it can be when someone genuinely listens.

Reminding myself to check in with the people I care about, even if they look like they’ve got it all together.

Being brave enough to open up when I’m not OK, because that’s not weakness – that’s real strength.

If you’re reading this and you’re struggling right now – please know you’re not alone. Reach out to a friend, a family member, or even a helpline. There are people who will care, and sometimes that first step is just letting someone in.

And if you’re in a good place right now, maybe today’s the day to reach out to someone else. Send a message. Make that call. Sit down and ask the question: “R U OK?” It might feel small, but it can change a life.

Because it’s changed mine.
