I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

This July, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk (run, wheel or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations.

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Thank you so much.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

The Journey Begins...

Monday 1st Jul
First ride coming up tonight... looking forward to the 40kms home from work... a nice way to unwind at the end of the day.

But why am I doing this... for me its actually the answer to R U Ok...  for a long time, when people did ask me if I was ok, my answer was, yep, I'm fine... when this was far from the truth.  I was anything but fine or OK.  It took hitting rock bottom and some pretty ugly conversations for me to admit it... to be at peace with not being ok. And understanding that accepting help was not a sign of weakness but realising that I'm only human and sometimes things break.

Exercise has been an important part of my journey, for overall health & fitness and mental health. It's easy to make excuses not to do it... so now I am committing to this, to help form some good habits for myself and to get the message out there...

It's ok to ask R U Ok?  And it's ok to say No, I'm not ok...
