I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

This July, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk, (run, roll or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations.

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Thank you so much.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

Don’t just say the words, BE the words

Monday 5th Jun
I’ve caught myself answering folks to the ever popular question-  how’s things? And saying yeh great.
Well, you know what, it’s actually harder to say that things are genuinely shitty (on occasion) than what it is to simply say- yeh, things are all good.
Whilst me may not acknowledge it, but there is enough scientific research out there to support the theory that emotional turbulence can cause illness and yet we still treat this very real question as a throw away attempt to keep other people happy.
Please, please, please….if I ask R U OK? Please give me the honest truth. Heavens forbid, I may actually be able to help or refer you to someone I know that could help you.
With love & respect.

Self Care

Sunday 4th Jun
We all have the same amount of time to spend with friends and family each week and at times, just a random text or message to check in can be the same as asking- “R u OK?”
Let’s get behind the awareness of mental health and make time to do things we love.
Self care is about realising how amazing we all are as individuals and how truly special we can be as a community.
Stay safe, stay strong, stay focussed.
