This July, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.
I get it, someone is always fundraising for something…
I have no fundraising goal this year, my aim is to Spread awareness and a solid message. You hear it day in and day out, mental health is so important. CHECK ON YOUR MATES. It’s simply not that hard!!! Its all good to sit there and ask someone if they are okay. BUT be prepared for the answer. Understandably not everyone is equipment to have these types of conversations and no one has the ‘right’ answer, but with a few tips and tricks and we can start to have these uncomfortable conversations more regularly and make it ‘normal’to chat to your mates about your mental health, and not bottle it up for the once a month therapy or big night on the piss with mates. No one feels fabulous every day and everyone needs an ear to compassionatly listen! Be a friend, a good resource, a safe space for your mates and loved ones. Im riding 150Kms this year for the K’s for RUOK! Last year my target was 100km and to push myself I have upped the anti, Pleaseeeeeeeee just share one thing with a friend this month, ask someone if they are ok and really listen to there answer. Ask yourself, ask your kids, you dog, just get the conversation start. IT CAN LITTERLLY CHANGE A LIFE!!!
