I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

This October, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk (run, wheel or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations.

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Thank you so much.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

💛 KS for R U OK? — Because Sometimes, the Smallest Questions Mean the Most

There’s something powerful about a simple question: “R U OK?”

It might only be three words, but those words can make a huge difference — sometimes even save a life.
That’s what inspired KS for R U OK? — a space built around kindness, connection, and starting conversations that matter.

Why I Started This

I’ve seen firsthand how easy it is for people to hide behind a smile, to say “I’m fine” when they’re really not.
We all go through tough times — moments where we feel lost, exhausted, or unsure of ourselves. But often, it’s not the struggle itself that breaks us; it’s the feeling of going through it alone.

KS for R U OK? was created to remind people that it’s okay to open up, to check in, and to listen.
You don’t have to have all the answers — sometimes, being there is enough.

The Importance of Checking In

We live in a world that moves fast. Everyone’s busy chasing deadlines, goals, and expectations.
But slowing down to check on someone — even with a quick message — can mean more than you think.

A small act of care can:

Lift someone’s spirits on a dark day.

Remind them they’re valued.

Encourage them to seek help or talk openly.

It all starts with one conversation.

How to Ask the Question

If you’re not sure how to ask, start simple. There’s no perfect way — just be genuine.

1. Choose the right time and place. Make sure you both have space to talk.

2. Be present. Listen without interrupting or judging.

3. Encourage them to seek support. Whether it’s a friend, family member, or professional — help is out there.

4. Follow up. A message or check-in later shows that you truly care.

You never know what someone might be going through, and your small act of kindness could be the thing that helps them through it.

Let’s Keep the Conversation Going

Mental health affects us all — directly or indirectly.
By opening up, sharing our stories, and reaching out to one another, we break down the walls of silence and stigma that too many people face.

KS for R U OK? isn’t just a name — it’s a reminder that we’re all connected.
That we’re stronger together.
That asking someone if they’re okay can start the kind of conversation that changes everything.

So today, tomorrow, and every day after — let’s keep checking in.
Let’s keep listening.
Let’s keep showing up for each other.

Because sometimes, the smallest question means the most. 💛
