My why is simple. When I was 11, I lost a friend. At that age, I never thought someone could feel something so heavy and powerful that it would lead them to that choice. As I got older, I realised how many of my friends had been through something similar. I even had my own experience.
That’s why this October, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? – to stay connected, build healthy habits, and help create a world where we’re supported and protected from suicide.
Each week, I’ll be clocking my kilometres – walking, running (maybe even dragging myself some days!) – to spark conversations that matter. Because sometimes, a simple “Are you OK?” can change everything.
