I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

Gday.

Thanks for stopping by!!

I’ve signed on to do my third K’s for R U OK? because, after doing the previous two, I can see just how important raising awareness is, as well as seeing how far the awareness has gone.

This is my second as an Ambassador, as well as being the 2025 Warrnambool Citizen of the Year for my efforts are R U OK? and community awareness around Suicide prevention and Mental Health Awareness and I’m honoured. However, every metre covered, it’s a community effort. I’m appreciative of any donations I received, conversations I have, or people join me. That effort also is there to resonate with those who will see what is  going on, but are happy to stay anonymous….and thats fine.

You will never know how far the awareness reaches but if my efforts save a life, create conversations or just put R U OK? on peoples radars as an accessible resource, then I’m pumped.

I, like many others, live a life that has been impacted by suicide and after many years, I felt it time to turn that loss into purpose….and that  purpose is to help raise funds to go back into support networks for our community. To create conversations. To make sure our world has you in it and those you care about in it.

Conversations encouraged. Donations welcomed.

This October, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk (run, wheel or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations.

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Thank you so much.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

My Updates

Half way through the month

Wednesday 15th Oct
So, we’re at the halfway post in the month.
I don’t have much to add to a blog really, except, I’m really enjoying the challenge and seeing a whole range of local community members while I’m out and about.
Some have commented on my R U OK? shirt and for doing a great effort.
As always, I’m just one person doing my part, and there are many others doing their part. Some I’ll know about but the unmeasurable spreading of awareness, or generating of conversations is what’s really spurring me on!!
Thanks
