I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?
This July, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.
Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk (run, wheel or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations.
By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.
Thank you so much.
By inspiring people to take the time to ask “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.
My Updates
Day 22- 24 KS
Friday 26th JulThis week has been absolute MAYHEM, but I got my K's in! Here’s an update
Day 22, I clocked 4.8kms on my lunch break in 49 minutes! I went by myself on Monday as I was cracking a little bit with stressors and pressures at work. The fresh air helped me reframe and come back twice as productive!
Day 23 I went on a walk with one of my long-term friends and got to catch up on 15 years! Crazy how we’ve come so far yet are still exactly the same. Thank you, Manni Hatzi, for joining me and having a laugh and reminisce over the good old days! We didn't get a photo annoyingly but I could post some oldies which Manni does not want to be re-shared!
Day 24 What a day! It was the day before the National Workforce Leadership Conference. Client follow-ups, meetings, catching up with my team, and creating contingency plans kept me busy. There wasn’t much walking happening, but lots of running around and packing. I also made sure I had something special for my fiancé and my anniversary, and handled last-minute doctor's appointments. You name it, I did it!
Day 25 - My Anniversary day started with a 3:30 am wake-up to head to the airport. It was a jam-packed day of travel straight into the leadership conference. I got quite a few kms on the odometer. Does the 968.2 kms from home to Hawkesbury count? I clocked a smooth 7.5kms in.
Day 26 - Today, I woke up at the crack of dawn knowing we had a jam-packed day ahead. I started with a walk, jog and gym session down to the lake, Then Intimidated by the number of defense personnel in the gym, I went back to my room to get ready for the day! 💛 Share
Day 19, 20 & 21 ks for r u ok
Monday 22nd Jul 💛 Day 19, 20 & 21 Ks for R U OK Recap 💛On Friday, after work, I went for a short walk Later, I played netball with my team for the TAC round. It was an intense match, but we managed to pull off a victory in the very last quarter, maintaining our #1 spot on the ladder. It wasn’t an easy game, but the win made it all the worthwhile.
Saturday started early as I headed down to windy Caroline Springs to watch Teegy play football. It was a full on match, and Suns secured a win by just 1 point in a nail-biting finish. I caught up with some of my girlfriends. We had a conversation about how July is a tough month for all of us, and we’re all struggling in one way or another. Despite the challenges, having such an amazing group of friends to lean on is a game-changer. Later in the day, I enjoyed a family outing to marbling painting, followed by a delicious Smores hot chocolate and burnt butter toast at Rong Cha.
Sunday Amber and I clocked an easy 7km on our adventures. Thanks Amby for getting me out of the house I appreciate you!

Day 10 K's for R U OK
Friday 12th Jul💛 Day 11 ks for R U OK 💛
I put my big girl pants on and went for a run by myself! (I hate walking/running alone in the dark). Woo Hoo! My parents will tell you that if I had to put the bins out or get something when I was younger, I would sprint because I was petrified of being outside alone in the dark (I think my parents subjected me to scary movies at a young age). Nonetheless, I did it!
I had Macklemore playing and discovered he's great to run to - who would've thought? I'm not a professional runner by any means, and until this year, you wouldn't have caught me dead running. I definitely need to work on keeping pace, and stamina, I clocked a solid 3ks in 22 minutes.
Some notes I took after my walk 😂
- Don't eat before running (You think that would be obvious)
- I need tights that don't fall down!
- My apple watch has crashed :( It paused my workout after every 1km😅
- I felt so proud of myself for going on my run alone tonight!

Day 8 K's for R U OK
Tuesday 9th JulHow cool is it having a leader join you on your lunch break walks? Vae Lemauga has committed to joining me on Mondays and Tuesdays when she graces the Truganina Branch with her presence.
Yesterday, we clocked 3.7 km in 49 minutes and even had the chance to take in many local businesses around us in Truganina. We always have a good chat about our favorite things Footy, Family & Friends! Yesterday, we got talking about our engagement proposals and engagement parties because I am deep into planning my upcoming engagement party, We also chatted about sales opportunities in our local area and everything in between.
I must give Vae an HM for clocking 3.7 km in her heels and keeping the pace. I am sure her feet and legs are feeling it today!
💛 Week 2- Challenge to find something Yellow. 💛

On my lunch break walk today, one of my besties joined me. Caz is practically family at this point. We've known each other for way too long and have done way too many embarrassing things in front of each other (mostly him, I'm an angel). We had a great catch-up on all things life! Whenever we catch up, it's like no time has passed, and it feels like we saw each other yesterday!
We've both struggled from time to time and have always found support in each other. Thank you for coming down to this neck of the woods to go on a lunch walk with me! I'm grateful for you!
Caz has probably had the hardest couple of years out of anyone I know, and I am so grateful that I get to have him in my life. Forever my Swing line dance partner! 💛

Day 3 K's for R U OK
Thursday 4th JulDay 3 Ks for R U OK
Mehret and I clocked hundreds of kilometers on the odometer yesterday with a full day on the road visiting our friends and colleagues across the state! We had lots of great chats about our lives, and it was fantastic to spend more time with Mehret because we've been jam-packed since she started! We talked about our favorite Korean BBQ places, our friends, and what we like to do for fun.
Later, I went on a lovely long walk with my little family: Teegy and our two little sausages, who were extra good on our walk! We had an honest chat about how we can support our friends, family, and each other through tough times, as we have a couple of loved ones struggling at the moment. We want to make sure we're helping in the right ways.
I'm looking forward to my lunch break walk today with my forever bestie and chosen family, Cazman!

Wednesday 3rd JulMy wonderful and amazing State Manager, Vae Lemauga, came with me for my lunch break walk yesterday! Thanks, Boss! We got to chat about our favorite things - local football and our families.
Fun fact Our Football Netballs clubs play against each otherhere in Melbourne, and we've adopted each other's teams as our second favorite! Go Spurs! 🏉 🏐 (I hope I don't get fined for that)
After work, we had an Olympic-themed training session at netball. It was all about supporting each other, with lots of belly laughs and a walking race – no running allowed! I’m sure Bec took that one for the team with some serious Kel Knight moves!
Feeling grateful for the laughs, support, and good times. Let’s keep checking in and looking out for each other. 💛 hashtag#RUOK hashtag#SupportEachOther Share
