I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

This October, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk (run, wheel or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations.

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Thank you so much.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

Day 30

Thursday 30th Oct

Life

Sunday 26th Oct
Everyone in life has been through a battle, or going through a battle - sometimes that smile is a mask and we don’t really know what people are going through. Be kind, Check in with loved ones and take care of each other 🥰

The reality

Wednesday 22nd Oct
At some point you just have to let go of what you thought should happen and live in what is  happening !

Day 14

Tuesday 14th Oct
1/2 way there. Goals are on track. Today is 12 months since we experienced the devastation of almost losing a loved one to suicide and it was only due to the grace of a  magical force that this did not happen.  Has it changed our lives - yes forever!  Did we see the signs? Could we have done more?  Could it happen again? Do we have the support we need to get past this? RuOK is about reaching out, checking in and finding support.
It’s about having the hard conversations and recognising the signs.  One day things will get better - one day at a time.

Day 10

Friday 10th Oct
Even if you don’t think someone’s emotions  are right, acknowledge them as real. Asking RuOK and taking the time to listen to the response is the most valuable gift you give someone who is struggling in life 💜

Day 8

Wednesday 8th Oct
Sometimes you have to let go of how you thought life would be and accept how it is.

Day 7

Sunday 5th Oct
46km ✅ walking for a cause close to my heart.
Mental health takes a toll  on everyone.  Being a carer for a loved one who  has died from or attempted suicide brings a mixed bag of emotions, anger, sadness, rejection and helplessness.  Asking RuOK  and knowing where to get support is important.
