I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

This October, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk (run, wheel or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations.

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Thank you so much.

By inspiring people to take the time to ask “Are you OK?” and listen, we can help people struggling with life to feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

Day 3,4,5 and the rest

Monday 20th Oct
So, as one of the rare non-social media users, I'm not particularly good at posting updates on a day to day basis. That does not mean that I have not been doing my ks though. I needed to get my Ks in early due to a little surgery coming up this week that will see me off my feet for a few weeks.

I reached my 100ks on Saturday, with a little help from my best person, and the support of my family and friends. At the end of the day, they are what's most important in life, and our reason for doing anything.

We are never alone as we may sometimes feel, we are all part of the human family. That's why I feel the RUOK message is so important - we all need human connection.

Thank you to all of my people for your kindness and support. Sending my love to you all.

Progress updates

Friday 3rd Oct
I can't get the Strava integration to work with the RUOK page but want to assure my generous donors that I am indeed clocking my k's.

Due to a bung foot (cheap shoes + big k's getting ready for the challenge = pain and regret for the penny wise but pound foolish) I am forced to ride my k's. I've also got a little heart surgery coming up on the 22nd so need to get my k's in before I am forced off my feet for a while.

So with the excuses out of the way, here's my progress so far.

Big ups to our awesome Sims team who I'm sure will crush it, and to our senior leaders for the business support in matching our first 10k.
