I’m Clocking K’s for R U OK?

This July, I’m joining K’s for R U OK? to stay connected, develop healthy habits and help to create a world where we're connected and protected from suicide.

Each week I'll be consistent in my clocking as I walk (run, wheel or ride) to help start more life-changing conversations. 

By donating to my page you are helping R U OK? provide free, essential resources to schools, workplaces, families, and communities across Australia. Giving them the tools and confidence to spot the signs and to start a conversation that could change the life of someone who's struggling. And you'll be putting a big smile on my face.

Day 15 - 18

Friday 19th Jul
Monday was a busy day taking my Nanna out shopping and catching up on sleep. Rest of the week so far has just been steps from work. I do not like the cold! 

Day 14

Sunday 14th Jul
Let my cup fill up today with a sleep in . Then a nice little trip to the  beach to celebrate a friend's little boys birthday. Wasn't going to go up the hill, but stuck to my routine and made it up and back just before the sun set.

Steps came from work today. Finished late so was unable to go up the hill after work. 

Day 11 & 12

Saturday 13th Jul
Steps from work over the past 2 days. Had a lovely dinner out celebrating a friend's birthday . Finished work too late today to go for my walk. Looking g forward to k's over my 2 days off

Thursday 11th Jul
Another 6am start at the gym with Sarah and the gals. I finish work earlier on a Thursday so had the time to squeeze in a quick walk up the hill. 

Day 10

Thursday 11th Jul
Started off with a nice early morning weight session with my amazing g trainer Sarah and gals in my 6am group. Rest of steps came from work today. 

Day 9

Wednesday 10th Jul
K's today just came from being at work. But reached my daily target 2.5 hours quicker than usual! So pretty chuffed with that. 

Day 8

Wednesday 10th Jul
Rainy afternoon here in Townsville. ☂️

Wasn't planning on a walk, but needed to clear my head. 

I tried the other track on Mt Louisa as it was longer. Was able to clock an extra 3 more k's before I go back to work tomorrow as I won't have much time to go for as many walks. 
(I also track my steps at work)

The hill caught fire Saturday afternoon but luckily was brought under control before it hit residential.  Got very close though! And the walking track was not affected.

Day 7

Sunday 7th Jul
Drove the fam up to Balgal Beach for a nice leisurely 2k walk after doing some more intense walks/hikes over the past couple of days. Very special Beach to me as it is where my grandad ashes were spread.  So was nice to go and say g'day to him and pick some pretty shells ❤️🐚

Day 6

Saturday 6th Jul
Started the day with a hike up Castle Hill's goat track. First time in over 10 years! Had the lovely girls from my 12 week mindset and fitness program along with me. Nice little coffee and brekkie with the girls afterwards. Straight back home to get ready for the Supercars race. Lots of extra K's klocked walking to and from the car there. Finished the night off with  a concert featuring G-Flip. Fab day and record steps of 17,000 for the day as well. 🖤💛🖤💛

Day 5

Friday 5th Jul
Started the day with a 4k walk up and down the strand. Gloomy day so the sunrise was a beautiful purple colour. Followed by a much needed coffee with the bestie and some shopping. All in all great day! 

Day 4

Thursday 4th Jul
Missed weight session this morning as my back was playing up. Work til 4pm the hit the hill (Mt Louisa) to reach my steps goal plus a little extra. Smashed my PB by 2 minutes. 4 days off now for the rest of the school holidays. Won tickets to the Supercars here in Townsville so will be exploring that over the next couple of days 😊🚘

Day 3

Wednesday 3rd Jul
Started off the day at 6am with a weight session at  1 million strong with my PT Sarah Gale as part of my 12 week mind and body program. Rest of my steps were from a full day at work. 

Day 2

Tuesday 2nd Jul
Back to work today after 5 days off for school holidays. I was going to wake up early and go for a walk up Mt Louisa .... but I didnt have the discipline to get up  . Today's steps and kms comes from being at work.

Day 1

Monday 1st Jul
Started with a group weight session at 1 Million Strong gym this morning.  Got my steps up by mowing mine and my neighbours front yards. Quick trip to my Connor store at Castletown to pick up some transfers for the Willows store. Game of soccer with my son in the backyard pushed me over my daily steps goal of 6,000. Dinner out tonight at the Tavern. Great first day and the head is feeling good xx
